    White space is an important element of design which enables the objects in it to exist at all.  A page crammed full of text or graphics with very little white space runs the risk of appearing busy or cluttered, and is typically difficult to read.

  2. The portion of being left unmarked

    White space is an important element of a human brain which enables creative thinking to exist at all.  A brain crammed full of text, graphics, emails, messages, inofrmation, videos, blog posts, articles, news, alerts and adverts with very little white space runs the risk of becoming busy or cluttered, and is typically difficult to simply be.
